STORRS, CONN. Carrying golf clubs, shovels and hockey sticks, several hundred University of Connecticut students gathered just before midnight in a cemetery, ready to do battle with menacing clowns they had heard might be lurking among the headstones. Police determined that Monday’s clown rumors were a hoax. But dozens of similar reports have surfaced across the country, largely on social media. And authorities are being forced to take them seriously as a potential threat to public safety, particularly at schools, where principals have conducted lockdowns and canceled classes.

"Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path - the path of all prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad." These were the words that rang out over the congregation at The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, USA meeting in Portland, Oregon. Wajidi Said, co-founder of the Muslim Education Trust, led the attendees in the prayer to the Islamic deity, a move arranged by the Ecumenical and Interfaith ministry staff at the assembly. The prayer was part of the "first order of business" during the meeting's opening session, a time dedicated to praying for those affected by the Orlando shooting that occurred just weeks before.
It's like a scene from a horror film. Residents of a California city are being terrorized by people dressed as clowns, some reportedly wielding machetes or baseball bats, police said. "There's a natural phobia of clowns," Sgt. Joe Grubbs of the Bakersfield Police Department told ABC News today. "And, clearly, if someone is dressed up as a clown and holding a weapon in a threatening manner, that's going to frighten people." There have been 20 sightings in a week, but only one clown has landed in cuffs. Bakersfield police arrested one juvenile last week for allegedly chasing other juveniles while in a clown costume. The 14-year-old suspect, who wasn't armed, told police he was participating in a hoax he had seen online. Read the Entire Story HERE. The Satanic Temple in Orange County, Florida, is planning to hand out satanic "children activity books" at some schools. The group is distributing the material as a response to the school district allowing a Christian group to leave Bibles, saying their whole point is to counter biblical indoctrination. "It's far better philosophically for us and we feel for the students, that they see there is a multiplicity of voices and that there's many voices and choices," Lucien Greaves, spokesperson for the Satanic Temple, said. Source: Daily Mail UK By: MIA DE GRAAF A Mexican family has been jailed for gouging out the eyes of their five-year-old relative with a spoon during a satanic ritual to bring about the end of the world. Fernando Caleb Alvarado Rios was ordered to close his eyes out of respect with his mother, grandparents, aunt and uncles as they danced in a circle and called on Satan to reveal himself. But when he was too scared to do so, his mother, Maria del Carmen Garcia Rios, grabbed a spoon and the entire group gouged them out. For several years she has been reaching out to fellow teens who are skeptics, including some who post videos on the internet insulting God. "Some of the teens who seem most hostile toward God are the same ones who emphasize that they are rational thinkers," she says. "It seems odd to want to insult Someone who supposedly isn't there." Regarding the videos, Frost is referring to "The Blasphemy Challenge," an Internet-related activity that encourages people to post a clip of themselves cursing God or renouncing the Holy Spirit's work in their life. The more brazen clips include assertions that the person willingly accepts the consequences this action (including hell) incurs should it turn out that God does exist. |
